Report on Co-curricular Activities for the session 2016-17
Vidhyarthi Vigyan Manthan
Our school participated in Vidhyarthi Vigyan Manthan (Bhavi Bharat Pratibha Ki Khoj) on 20th November 2016. This competition is divided into two written papers.
1st paper is based on multiple choice questions and 2nd paper is subjective.
The participants were divided into two groups. Junior group from class VI to VIII and senior group from class IX to XI.

Interschool Competitions in Different Schools
Two interschool competitions were organized by two different school/club.
One competition was organized by St. Fidelis School, that was Interschool Skit Competition. The theme of this competition was “The facts behind myths and superstitions prevailing in Indian society.”
Result: M.U. College was in full bloom and got 2nd prize in this competition.
Second competition was organized by Rotary Club of Aligarh City. That was a debate competition. The topic was “fla/kq unh ty le>kSrk ij iqu% fopkj ”
Two students from our college (1) Syed Ali Hammad Zaidi, X Sci. (Favour) (2) Mohd. Sameer, XI Com. (Against) participated in it.
Result: They both as a team got third prize in this competition.
An Interhouse Handwriting Competition
An Interhouse Handwriting Competition organized by our school on 22nd October 2016 to enhance their writing capability.
The competition is divided into six categories. These were
(a) English Junior
(b) Hindi Junior
(c) Urdu Junior
(d) English Senior
(e) Hindi Senior
(f) Urdu Senior
Students from all the four houses participated in it and they show their writing power enthusiastically. 48 students from different houses participated in this competition.
Mr. Shabab Haider (PGT Maths), Dr. Mohd. Mehdi (PGT Biology) and Mr. Ahmad Ali (M.Th) judged the competition.

Children’s Day Celebration 2016
Birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru celebrated as Children’s Day on 14th November every year. This year this day celebrated in our school with great enthusiasm. It was celebrated as a “Sports Day”. Different sports activities were organized on this day by our PHE teacher Mr. Nadeem Ahmad.
On this occasion activities like athletics, races, javelin throw, pyramids and many more filled the environment with excitement.
March past drill is most attractive event of the day. Students performed it house wise with great zeal.
Mr. Santosh Kumar (Municipal Commissioner, Aligarh) was the Chief Guest of the programme. He and our Principal Sir gave away the trophies to the winners of the day.
Refreshment was given to the students and the day ends with cheering and shouting of the students.
To enhance the power of speech an Inter School Speech Competition was organized by M.U.College on 10th December 2016.
Total 19 schools participated to share their view with others.

On this occasion college honoured those teachers whose board results were above expectations.
At the end of the programme our Principal Sir addressed the gathering and expressed his gratitude towards the participants and the teachers escorted. This competition was a successful event.
Interschool Speech & Quiz Competition in Vision Global School
